GETTING There
DRIVING DIRECTIONS VIA MAILAPITIYA
(The Victoria Reservoir Route)
From Colombo:
Take Route A1 (Colombo – Kandy) and drive up to Kandy
Drive Past the Temple of the Tooth on to Route A26 (Kandy – Padiyatalawa)
Keep Straight at Tennekumbura Bridge (DO NOT CROSS THE BRIDGE) and join Route B413 (Tennekumbura – Rikillagaskada – Ragala)
Keep on Route B413 until Rikillagaskada (32Kms)
Turn Right to Route B364 (Peradeniya – Rikillagaskada) towards Hewaheta/Deltota at Rikillagaskada Town
The Distance from Rikillagaskada to Hewaheta is 8Kms, and the entrance to Rahathungoda Estate is 1Km from Hewaheta town
Drive into Rahathungoda Estate through the main gate and follow the signs to Eastland Bungalow
Distance: Colombo to Kandy – 116 Kms (2 Hours, 15 Minutes)
Kandy to Hewaheta – 44 Kms (1 Hour)
Road Conditions: Wide Roads up to Rikillagaskada, uneven surface from Kanda Junction, wet and slippery when it rains. Reservoir views from Tennkumbura until Mailapitiya

DRIVING DIRECTIONS VIA GALAHA
(The Victoria Reservoir Route)
From Colombo:
Take Route A1 (Colombo – Kandy) up to Peradeniya Junction
After crossing the Bridge over Mahaweli at Peradeniya turn right towards Galaha on to Route B346 (drive will be through the Peradeniya University)
keep driving on Route B364 passing Galaha and Deltota until you reach the entrance to Rahathungoda Estate (on your right)
Follow the signs to Eastland Bungalow
Distance: Colombo to Peradeniya – 110 Kms (2 Hours)
Peradeniya to Hewaheta – 46 Kms (1 Hour)
Road Conditions: Narrow and uneven surface after Galaha, wet and slippery when it rains both of which are off set by the magnificient scenery along the way
